Launch of the new Xiaomi smart brand — likely to be called Mi Smart Band 5 — is also hinted via a webpage on the e-commerce site Amazon. Listed under ‘AmazonSpecials’ category, the upcoming device is teased to come with a bigger display, an improved battery life and four new sports modes along with a dedicated Yoga mode. In one of the images shared, one can see the device being charged using a pinned cable. ‘Start charging in a snap’ says the Amazon page.
Meanwhile, the company has launched an entry-level Redmi 9i phone in India. Priced at Rs 8,299 onwards, the smartphone runs on MIUI 12-based on Android 10 out of the box, the Xiaomi Redmi 9i smartphone comes with a display of 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen of 1600x720p resolution with a water drop notch and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Powered by MediaTek Helio G25 processor, the device packs 4GB of RAM paired with up to 128GB internal storage. The phone comes with a dedicated microSD card to further expand the storage by up to 512GB.
On the camera front, Xiaomi Redmi 9i features a single camera on the back of 13MP with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, users get a 5MP sensor for selfies.
